Enjoy Spring Break 🌷

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is hard for me to believe this is my 6th year as Superintendent in the Lakeland District – it feels like the time has flown by!  Together, we have accomplished many great things for kids and our district.  As some of you may have read in the paper this week, I have been named the next Superintendent of the Lake Pend Oreille School District for the 2022-23 school year.  While I am happy to have the opportunity to be in the LPOSD, I will miss our Lakeland families terribly!  It is hard for me to put into words the impact the families and staff in this District have had on me.  I have formed innumerable relationships with parents/community members and will forever cherish these.  The last six years have been some of the best of my entire career and I will always appreciate the opportunity I have been given to serve in the LJSD.  Thank you for your support and partnership over the years – it has been vital to the success of the district and our students.

Much Gratitude💝, Dr. Meyer, Superintendent

Student-Led Conference Success

We’d like to thank our super supportive parents for attending your child’s Student-Led Conferences on March 10th. Our students were able to successfully showcase the great work they do, as well as share growth areas and goals for the year.

Update from Your District Safety Task Force

Student safety remains our highest priority.  In an effort to continue to enhance our safety program, we are looking forward to adding an additional Armed Guard to our team.  We anticipate posting this position later this spring with the intended outcome of having our newest team member ready to start when school resumes next fall.  If you or any of your family members or friends have law enforcement experience and would like to be part of this dynamic team, please watch for the posting and apply!  We appreciate the community’s support of this very important program!
